Real estate maven Elaine Goh is highly motivated to help clients in their search for their bespoke dream property. She enjoys working hand in hand with her clients, providing them with a helicopter view to plan, evaluate and eventually to execute their decision in purchasing a unit with the highest potential capital appreciation, great rentability and good exit strategy.
When accompanying her clients at viewings, Goh ensures that she highlights the apartments’ strengths and potential drawbacks. With patience and experience, Goh guides her clients in their buying and selling decisions on private properties, mainly condominiums in the Core Central Region (CCR), while also handling properties outside the CCR. She also manages her local and overseas clients’ investment properties for rent.

“I believe that with so many different types of properties out there, there is a right one for everyone. My passion is to help clients find their dream property with the best fit. Being able to help my clients achieve financial freedom and secure the unit they call home gives me immense satisfaction that goes beyond description,” she highlights.
Her tip to homebuyers is to prioritise location and size. “Aim for the largest unit within your budget in an area that fulfils your main requirements. Real estate shouldn’t be rushed. Take small steps at a time and build towards your dream – see it as a journey in making progress towards a larger goal without becoming overwhelmed or discouraged,” shares Goh.
To clients sitting on the fence on making their property purchase, Goh’s advice is to follow their heart. “When you come across a unit you like, your heart will tell you that it is the property unit to go for. The key is not to procrastinate and go for it. Buy to wait and don’t wait to buy, continue to build and widen your real estate portfolio within your limit,” she advises.

Applying her service skills from banking and hospitality
Prior to her real estate career, Goh spent over 10 years in the banking industry. Her last role as a Business Manager, Vice President, was when she often connected with her US and Europe counterparts after office hours. She has also gained work experience at international hotel chains. In 2017, she became a full-time realtor to fulfil her passion.
“My previous work experience inculcated in me the habit of attending to buyers’ requests in a timely manner. I recalled a potential client who called and we met up almost immediately within an hour to discuss a prospective sale and a potential purchase. There were also times where I rescheduled my vacation plans for some appointments,” says Goh.
As a testament to her service excellence, Goh has clinched numerous accolades, including consecutive ERA Millionaire Award (2021 to 2024), ERA Rising Millionaire Award (2020), ERA Asia Pacific Elite Award (2020 to 2023), SG Real Agents Excellence Award (2021 to 2024) and ERA Millionaire Dollar Club (August 2017).

Going above and beyond in her service delivery
Goh’s appreciative clients describe her as a service-oriented agent who puts in much effort, be it in curating properties or marketing their properties. Her clientele are mostly referrals, with some becoming close friends.
“My service philosophy is always to go beyond a one-time transaction, so I will do will my best to make genuine feedback and recommendations that work for the clients in the long term,” shares Goh.
One client who left a deep impression on Goh had engaged her to purchase a condominium unit for all her children. Subsequently, she requested Goh to relook the family’s property portfolio, part of which covers the sale of their own landed home in the CCR. Goh reflects: “I was really touched by my clients’ trust and continued support in engaging me for their next major milestone.”

Another client, a PR couple, engaged Goh in 2023 to sell their four-bedroom penthouse duplex in Holland Village, with the aim of getting another property. Although Goh had earlier arranged a series of viewings, she proactively recommended to them an apartment on Sentosa – which was spot on as they fell in love with the panoramic views of the sea and marina instantly. Not only did Goh successfully close the penthouse sale, she also helped her client purchase the Sentosa apartment – although they were based in Europe at that time.
“Despite the time difference, I communicated with my clients in a timely manner. All viewings, negotiations, documentation and timeline arrangement were done seamlessly with complete transparency and the deals were completed within the timelines,” says Goh.
Her client shares: “We have been very impressed with Elaine’s understanding of our needs, market knowledge, excellent communication and strong work ethic. She also provided incredible support that went beyond the actual sale/purchase process which made the experience so much easier for us.”
In some instances, Goh needs to soften the stance of clients who perceive leasehold properties as being less ideal than freehold ones. She encourages clients to consider a wider selection of choice units by highlighting favourable factors such as location, transportation, amenities and entry price. “We also have open discussions on new launches versus resale, or condo versus landed, and most importantly needs versus wants for a given budget,” she adds.

Goh keeps on learning to equip herself with a broad range of skills across various property types to provide a broad suite of services to her clients. The photogenic Goh has also made a cameo appearance in the Mediacorp drama “My One and Only”, which provided her with tips on video production.
“The constant changes in property transactions emphasise the need for a growth mindset. When you stop learning, you stop growing — both personally and professionally,” she says. To stay relevant, it is important to be equipped with the latest technological tools such as Sales+ and participate in ERA’s holistic training which provides valuable project insights.
In celebration of International Women’s Day, Goh says: “Women should feel proud of their accomplishments. Do celebrate this day with all women and empower one another to stay strong, determined and resilient.”
