Property developer Wing Tai Asia announced on April 15 that it has partnered with Pathlight School on a community initiative at its upcoming residential development, River Green. The 525-unit project at River Valley Green in prime District 9, is expected to be launched sometime in 2H2025.
Wing Tai secured the government land sales (GLS) site at River Valley Green (Parcel A) in June last year with a bid of just under $464 million, or $1,325 per square foot per plot ratio (psf ppr).
The collaboration with Pathlight School will take the form of an art competition for its secondary and vocational track students. The initiative aims to transform the hoardings around the River Green construction site into “a vibrant, sprawling community art canvas, showcasing the talent and creativity of Pathlight School students,” Wing Tai said in a press release.
It marks Pathlight’s first partnership with a real estate developer to showcase its students’ artwork on such a platform and scale.

The competition’s theme will centre on River Green’s surroundings — including the Singapore River, the River Valley area, and the neighbourhood’s architectural heritage. It was launched in early April, coinciding with Autism Awareness Month. Winning and selected entries will be featured on River Green’s 200m hoarding along Kim Seng Linear Park for the next three years.
“Art has always been a defining element of Wing Tai’s developments — connecting and enriching the community while enhancing the environment,” says Edmund Cheng, deputy chairman of Wing Tai Holdings.
“While hoardings typically serve as safety and noise barriers, we are excited to transform them into a vibrant canvas featuring artworks inspired by the River Valley and Singapore River precincts,” he adds. “This initiative presents a unique opportunity to engage with the local community and celebrate the creativity and talent of budding young artists from Pathlight School.”
According to Linda Kho, senior principal of Pathlight School, “Art is a powerful form of self-expression that allows our students to share their unique perspectives.” She adds that the collaboration with Wing Tai showcases the students’ talents, builds their confidence, and encourages them to further develop their artistic passions.
