Fifteen months after his appointment as CEO of Singapore’s fifth-largest real estate agency, SRI, Thomas Tan has officially become a shareholder, according to a press statement on March 24.
“Thomas’ appointment as a partner is a natural and well-deserved progression,” says Bruce Lye, co-founder and managing partner of SRI. “This milestone reflects not just his leadership, but our shared commitment to building something greater—together.”
Lye adds: “Since taking the helm a year ago, Thomas has been a driving force in shaping SRI’s culture and direction. His belief in our salespersons and vision has been unwavering. Since he came on board, he has implemented structured training and career progression programmes.”
SRI’s number of real estate salespersons grew by 20.5% over the past 14 months—from 1,286 on January 1, 2024, to 1,549 as of March 24, 2025—according to the Council for Estate Agencies’ public register. This growth has cemented the firm’s position as the fifth-largest real estate agency in Singapore by sales force.
Tan brings 22 years of experience in the real estate sector and is widely recognised for his expertise as a trainer. He spent eight years as director and key executive officer (KEO) at RE Training & Consultancy (RETC), a real estate agency in Singapore, and previously served as president of the Singapore Estate Agents Association (SEAA). At RETC, he conducted both Real Estate Salesperson (RES) and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) courses, having trained over 10,000 students.
From 2010 to 2019, he was an associate trainer at Real Centre Network. Earlier in his career, he spent 12 years at Remax Singapore, a real estate franchise, where he held the role of executive director.
