On April 16, US real estate consultancy Cushman & Wakefield (C&W) announced the appointment of Matthew Bouw as CEO of Asia Pacific (APAC) and Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
Starting May 1, Bouw will relocate to London to lead a unified operating model across both regions. According to the announcement, this model aims to enhance scale, streamline services, and strengthen global connectivity and talent access for clients.
Bouw has been based in Singapore as C&W’s CEO for APAC since 2017. He has been with the firm for 13 years and has held several global executive roles at C&W’s corporate headquarters in Chicago, including Global Chief Administrative Officer and Global Chief HR & Strategy Officer. During his tenure, he played a key role in the firm’s merger of legacy organisations in 2014 and 2015, as well as the acquisition of DTZ in 2011.
Before joining C&W, Bouw held leadership roles across multiple industries at major global companies such as Aviva, PwC, and UGL.
As part of the leadership transition, Colin Wilson will step down as CEO of EMEA and leave the firm “to pursue the next chapter in his career”. Wilson, who has been with C&W for over 29 years, will remain in an advisory role to support the smooth handover of responsibilities.
