Hilton has inked an agreement with Indonesian property developer PT Balibuana Perkasa to open a Waldorf Astoria property in Nusa Dua, Bali. The luxury oceanfront resort is set to open in late 2027.
This will be Hilton’s second property in Bali in partnership with PT Balibuana Perkasa. In 2016, the partners unveiled Hilton Bali Resort, a rebranding of the former Grand Nikko Bali. “This signing builds on the success of Hilton Bali Resort with PT Balibuana Perkasa and deepens our longstanding relationship,” says Clarence Tan, senior vice president of development for Asia Pacific at Hilton.
Hilton currently has 16 operating hotels and resorts across Indonesia, with Waldorf Astoria Bali joining its pipeline of 12 upcoming properties in the archipelago. “With the upcoming arrival of Waldorf Astoria, Bali will hold the distinction of being home to three of our luxury brands, including Conrad Hotels & Resorts and LXR Hotels & Resorts, in addition to our flagship Hilton Hotels & Resorts and Hilton Garden Inn,” Tan adds.
Waldorf Astoria Bali is a new-build resort that will feature 71 villas and 68 guest suites. It will also have 8,051 sq ft of event space, a beach club, a cliffside restaurant and pool terrace, and wellness amenities. Culinary offerings at the resort include The Ledge by Dave Pynt, helmed by the chef of Singapore’s One-Michelin-starred eatery Burnt Ends.
The resort will be located on Sawangan Beach in Nusa Dua, along Bali’s southern coastline. It is 14.5km from Ngurah Rai International Airport.
