Cushman & Wakefield has announced a senior promotion and three new leadership appointments within its project and development services (PDS) business across Singapore and Southeast Asia.

According to an April 22 release, the appointments come on the back of the company’s focus on strengthening its leadership team and expanding its platform to support continued growth in the region.

In Singapore, Meriana Liao has been promoted to director of PDS. In her new role, Liao will lead a team of client services managers and lead sales strategy development. She will also identify opportunities to support the company’s occupier services across the project management, cost management, and design and build sectors. Liao has been with Cushman & Wakefield since 2021, when she joined as an associate director of PDS, focusing on occupier services in Singapore.

Cushman & Wakefield also announced the appointment of Gina Peng as a director of PDS in Singapore. Peng joined the company last September. She has over 20 years of experience in project management, design and build, and construction management. Her prior experience includes senior roles at JLL and CBRE, where she managed high-profile projects valued up to $650 million. Peng is also a certified Green Star and LEED professional and a member of The Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors.

In Malaysia, Adrian Choong has been appointed head of PDS. Before joining Cushman & Wakefield in March, Choong led the principal contracting division at CBRE Malaysia as head of projects. His previous roles include a position as project manager at ISG plc and Arcadis.

In the Philippines, Cedric Baba has been appointed head of PDS, with effect from April. A licensed architect based in Manila, Baba has over 12 years of experience in design and construction across various sectors. Before Cushman & Wakefield, Baba has served as head of projects at CBRE Philippines and as a design and project manager at Portuguese Realty.

Riaz Khan, head of PDS at Cushman & Wakefield Southeast Asia, says: “The strength of our PDS business in this region has grown over the last few years and we will continue to expand our platform to capture and capitalise on the diverse opportunities offered within the fast-growing Southeast Asia markets.”
